Dr. Ken Buczynski
As the founder of Wellspring Family Medicine, Dr. Buczynski is a board certified Family Physician who completed medical school at the Penn State College of Medicine, in Hershey, PA and then completed his residency training at Via Christi Family Medicine Residency in Wichita, Kansas. Since embracing his calling to rural family medicine with obstetrics in 2004, Dr. B has practiced family medicine in Garrett County and surrounding West Virginia region. With a focus on excellence in patient care, Dr. B’s promotes a Christ-centered family practice. As a guiding principle, each person is created unique and beautiful before God and we are to serve all medical needs with humility and respect. He and his wife Becky reside in Oakland, MD with their four children.
Dr. Richard Porter
Rich is a board certified doctor of osteopathy and is a graduate of Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, IL. His mission is to provide excellent medical care to the community for the glory of God. He loves caring for people and helping them work through problems. Dr. Porter works closely with CPS in child abuse exams and is a part of the Maryland Child Abuse Medical Professional network for Garrett County. He has served in Haiti and Hungary on medical missions. Dr. Porter sees patients in both Oakland and Accident locations. He resides in Oakland with his wife Shannon and their four children.
Dr. Stephanie Sisler
Stephanie is a board certified pediatrician and is a graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine. She enjoys working with children of all ages and helping parents navigate through the difficult challenges that parenting can bring. She has served in Honduras on medical missions and hopes to participate in more international programs in the future. She is a participant in the Maryland Child Abuse Medical Professionals program and works closely with CPS on child abuse cases. She and her husband live in Oakland with their two children and are in the process of becoming foster parents for local families. Dr. Sisler sees patients in both the Oakland and Terra Alta locations.
Dr. Lisa Ryan
Lisa hails from Huntington, WV, where she attained her Doctor of Psychology degree at Marshall University. Her desire is to provide a safe, comfortable, caring atmosphere to her clients that allows them to share openly and work on emotional concerns. Every person that comes to the office is treated with an unconditional positive regard, regardless of their story. She employs a variety of therapeutic techniques within sessions, including humanistic, person-centered, and cognitive behavioral therapies. Additionally, she provides psychological assessments for ADHD, dementia, anxiety, depression, and other clinical concerns. Lisa lives with her husband, step-son, three cats, and 10 chickens on a farm in Aurora, WV.
Melinda is a certified Physician Assistant and is a graduate of Alderson-Broaddus College in Phillipi, WV. She has been with Wellspring Family Medicine for many years. She enjoys working with each patient to achieve a full life that includes being well physically, emotionally and spiritually. Living and working in a rural area is very important to her. Melinda works in the Oakland office and resides In Aurora, WV with her husband Chaz and her two children.
Dena is a certified Physician Assistant and is a graduate of Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, WV. Her desire to go into medicine began at a young age. With a career beginning in emergency medicine, she felt led to return to mountains she loved so much to cultivate meaningful and lasting relationships with patients. She also hopes to pursue further medical missions work. She provides patient care for both Oakland and Accident locations. Dena resides in Oakland with her husband, Ian and daughter Hazel.
Jen is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. With a passion to serve the medical community and her country, she commissioned as an Officer in the United States Army Reserve and has served in multiple roles within a Combat Support Hospital and Minimal Care Detachment. In addition, she served as an adjunct clinical faculty member for Alleghany College of Maryland at the Allegany and Garrett campuses. With a calling to come back home to Garrett County, Jen works in both our Accident and Oakland offices. She resides in PA with her husband Jared, children Riley and Gunnar, and their two “hound” dogs, Enson and Ruby.
